The Hocking River Commission

Linking Fairfield, Hocking and Athens Counties through education, stewardship and promotion
of river recreation.

Falls Mill, Logan, Ohio

Currently State Route 644 crosses the Hocking at the falls on the property recently acquired by
the Hocking River Commission.

In 2004 the Ohio Department of Transportation plans to upgrade this crossing by destroying this iron bridge and building another larger bridge slightly upstream.

Opportunities for collaboration with ODOT and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources prompted active members of the commission to tour the sight on a damp morning in November, 2003.
